Works with the gear you already have

Connect is hardware agnostic. Inverters, batteries, meters, EV chargers and gensets from different brands run as one system, brought in by the Ampaura Gateway on site. If your equipment speaks Modbus, CAN or OCPP, there is a good chance we already run it.

You do not have to replace anything to start

Most sites that come to us already own hardware. Solar from one supplier, a battery from another, meters and chargers from whoever was cheapest that year. The Ampaura Gateway is the box that makes that collection behave like one system, without ripping any of it out. It is the same box on every Ampaura site, and it is why the software can promise what it promises.

The Gateway reads and controls what is already on site. Your inverters, your battery, your meters, your chargers.

No proprietary lock-in at the connection layer. Connect talks to devices over the open protocols they already use, and to the grid over the standards Australian networks are rolling out.

CSIP-AUS v1.2 conformance tested

The Ampaura Gateway has passed ANU CSIP-AUS v1.2 conformance testing. Availability of dynamic connection and flexible export is confirmed DNSP by DNSP.

When the internet drops, nothing else does

Cloud-only energy systems have an obvious weakness, and it always shows up at the worst time. The Ampaura Gateway holds the current plan locally and keeps executing it: the battery keeps shaving, the limits keep being enforced, the site keeps behaving. When the connection returns, it reconciles with the cloud and carries on.

It is also the site's translator. Inverters, batteries, meters and chargers from different manufacturers each speak their own dialect; the Gateway speaks all of them at once, which is what lets one dashboard run a mixed fleet as a single system.

New equipment

Not on the list? Allow up to four weeks.

New equipment is onboarded against the manufacturer's protocol documentation, then bench tested before it goes anywhere near your site. Allow up to four weeks from the go-ahead to a device running on a live site.
