Commercial batteries are a different animal to the ones in the news

The e-scooter and phone batteries that catch fire in the news use a different chemistry to commercial storage. Your insurer will ask about this, so here's the answer.

LFP chemistry

Lithium iron phosphate is the safest mainstream battery chemistry. It's thermally stable, low fire risk, and rated for 6,000 to 8,000 cycles depending on the platform, which is 16 to 22 years of daily use.

Engineered cooling

Liquid cooling on the RCTerra range keeps every cell at its ideal temperature through a 45 degree January, which is what protects performance and lifespan.

Fire suppression built in

Aerosol suppression throughout the cabinet and rock wool isolation between modules, all fitted at the factory.
