Seamless on and off grid switching for the RCTerra range. The GSC261 pairs with the Class 2.0 261 and the GSC1000 with the Pro 2.0 783 and 1044, so critical loads ride through a grid failure in under 20 milliseconds.

When the grid fails, the cabinet switches the site load across to the RCTerra battery system, and back again when supply returns. Passive switching completes in under 20 ms and active switching is seamless, so production lines, cold rooms and IT loads do not notice.
The GSC261 synchronises automatically, with VSG grid forming compatibility and adaptation to any generator set. Optional PV and diesel generator access ports let the site run as a managed microgrid, with an integrated bypass and a built in UPS for the auxiliary supply.
A single GSC261 serves one or two Class 2.0 261 cabinets at 250 kW. The GSC1000 is sized for the Pro 2.0 at 742 kVA, with a 721 A load port matched to the 500 kW 1044 build and the 375 kW 783 build. Both install on a foundation beside the storage block.
Modbus communication into the PCS and Ampaura Connect, so the switch, the battery and the site load are monitored and controlled as one system. Both cabinets are IP54, forced air cooled and rated C4, with C5 available for coastal and industrial sites.

Figures below are taken directly from the RCT Power GSC261 grid switching cabinet datasheet, revision April 2026, and the RCT Power GSC1000-742-01 grid switching cabinet manual, revision 1.0, July 2025. Each cabinet is an optional item ordered with its matching RCTerra storage block and connected to it by control and communication cables.
The RCT Power documents as issued. The GSC1000 manual includes the foundation drawing, cable sizes and the control wiring to the Pro 2.0 PCS. If you need the GSC261 installation guide or a single line diagram for your site, ask and we will send it.
A grid switching cabinet is an optional item on every RCTerra quote. Tell us which loads need to ride through an outage and we will size the battery and the switch together, then model the whole site in Ampaura Designer.
